Bay of Islands is a quieter Shipwreck Coast stop where limestone stacks and islands stretch across the Southern Ocean. It offers a different scale and perspective from the better-known 12 Apostles further east.
Allow time at the viewing areas to take in the changing light and wide coastal views. It makes a rewarding westward stop from Peterborough on a Great Ocean Road drive.
